LEIF - FOREST ELF at the SSNSC

and now for something COMPLETELY different!

Meet Leif, the Forest Elf who resides at the SOUTH SHORE NATURAL SCIENCE CENTER in Norwell, Massachusetts!

He is the original creation of both my sister, Melissa, and myself. Melissa created the idea of the character while I created the visuals! He made his debut at this year's SSNSC Green Earth Day fest on April 17th, opening his home in the Forest Elven Village where kids, young and old (adults did participate in this activity and had as much, if not MORE fun than the kids did! XD LOL) could help build houses for the forest elves and the hide little Leif cutouts around the area (aka, the wooded areas behind the science center) and the next group would have to find him and build a new house! Also part of the Forest Elf activities was a Hide-n-Seek game, where little 4 inch Leif cutouts were hidden EVERYWHERE and you had to find them! XDehe

Leif make QUITE a mark on this year's Green Earth Fest and, I dare say, was the highlight of it! He will most DEFINITELY be returning next year, along with HOPEfully an ILLUSTRATED children's book!!! ^,^V...ah yes! My sister and I have many a plan to help spread the love of Leif, the Forest Elf and everything to help conserve and preserve our precious world! ^_____^<3

This REALLY brings me back to the wonderful days I had in college where I dreamed of becoming a children's book illustrator as well as a comicbook artist....though of course becoming a comicbook artist was WAAAAY higher on my WANT list! XD ehehe

If in enough demand, I shall make this image available as an 8.5x11 print, with 50% of the proceeds being donated to the SOUTH SHORE NATURAL SCIENCE CENTER in Norwell, Massachusetts.
